This is the SS7 MTP2-User Adatapation Layer (M2UA) component of the OpenSS7 SIGTRAN stack. This
component implements the M2UA functions in a STREAMS multiplexing driver.
The M2UA STREAMS driver provides the Signalling Link Interface (SLI).
The M2UA STREAMS driver supports I_LINK and I_PLINK of Signalling Link Interface (SLI) streams
providing SS7 MTP Level 2 signalling links under the driver. It also supports I_LINK and
I_PLINK of Transport Provider Interface (TPI) streams providing Stream Control Transmission
Protocol (SCTP) or other transports under the driver.

The M2UA component was started in January 2000.
|

The M2UA component of the OpenSS7 stack is in the Testing stage, however, it has been
rewritten several times.
|

This component depends on the SS7 MTP Level 2 Signalling Link Interface (SLI) and Transport
Provider Interface (TPI) access to the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) or other
transports.

OpenSS7 has participated in testing events for the M2UA component. These are:
